In order to create a pool of high calibre Managerial Talents, the Company inducts fresh Management Graduates in different streams of Management from the premier Management Institutes in the country. Management Trainees are taken in the Sales & Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Supply Chain areas.
Management Trainees are put through a 12-month long, cross-functional, multi-location training program; after successful completion of the training they are absorbed in their respective functional departments.
Finance & Control Trainees
The objective of the Finance and Control Trainee scheme is to get high calibre chartered accountants and post graduates with specialisation in finance from premier institutes, who can take up critical roles in the company.
Finance & Control Trainees are put through a 12-month long, multi-location training program; after successful completion of the training they are absorbed in their function across locations basis business requirements.
In order to create a pool of specialized costing talent in the finance & controls function, trainees with ICWA certification are hired.
These trainees are put through a stint of 12 months through various units and after successful completion of their stints and absorbed in the finance & Controls division.
Technical Management Trainees
Technical Management Trainees are taken from reputed engineering institutes specialising in Chemical, Electronics, Automation, Industrial Engineering etc.
The trainees undergo a 12 month long, on the job intensive training programme in Factories & Head Office.
The objective of Technical Trainee scheme is to provide a pool of well-trained, high caliber technical professionals who in the short term can take on supervisory responsibilities against available positions in different Factories. The selection of Trainees is done from various Technical institutes across the country.
The training program is for duration of 12 months. Post the satisfactory completion of training period the trainees get confirmed against available positions based on business requirements.
Field Force Trainees
The purpose of this Scheme is to ensure a ready pool of trained Sales Personnel and Medical Delegates to fill up vacancies which arise at our four regional offices. Sales personnel are responsible for frontline sales and the medical delegates are involved in disseminating scientific information to doctors pertaining to our products.
The Trainees are engaged for duration of 11 months for training. Post the satisfactory completion of training period the trainees get confirmed against available positions based on business requirements.
Summer /Autumn Trainees
In order to fulfill our corporate responsibility to the professional institutions, of providing practical training to the students as part of their academic requirement and to undertake important Business Projects, every year the Company takes Summer/Autumn Trainees from premier management institutes of the country. Nestlé handpicks top quality students from premier management institutes across the country to undertake live projects in the field of Human Resources, Sales & Marketing & Supply Chain.
The process also helps the Company in generating good will with the Premier Management Institutes as well as pre-identifying certain candidates who may have Management Trainee potential for future intake.
