By promoting gender balance, we are creating a fair and equitable workplace where everyone has equal opportunities to succeed, with a strong focus on gender balanced leadership. Our gender balance acceleration plan includes:

  • Supporting all managers to foster an inclusive workplace and ensuring that they are trained on creating inclusive teams
  • Hiring and promoting more women in leadership positions
  • Reviewing results with senior leaders to promote gender balance and tracking progress
  • Continuing our efforts to champion equal pay

Our flagship programs, such as Nestlé Needs Youth and Nesternship, prioritize intergenerational mentorship and knowledge-sharing, fostering the exchange of ideas and promoting mutual learning. We recognize youth as catalysts for change and have empowered their voices through initiatives like Nestlé-Z, which influences our organizational culture and decision-making processes.

Through membership of the ILO Global Business and Disability Network we promote the inclusion of people with disabilities across our global workforce. In 2020, Nestlé globally signed The Valuable 500, committing to: Provide equal opportunities for all, and continuously advance accessibility for people with disabilities within our operations. We are actively hiring persons with disabilities in our workforce and building awareness and understanding of the experience of people living with disabilities, in order to mitigate unconscious bias and create an even more inclusive workplace.

We strongly believe that LGBT+ inclusion is about creating a workplace and society where everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression, feels safe, respected, and valued. We foster a culture of acceptance understanding, and equality for all individuals and are proud to support the United Nations Free & Equal Standards of Conduct for Business on tackling discrimination against LGBT+ people.
