Human rights abuses have no place in our business activities, and we work hard to ensure every person in our value chain is treated with dignity and respect.

Respecting the human rights of everyone in our business activities is rooted in our values.
Human rights issues are complex and vary among the different countries where we operate. As a result, we have to take a multilayered approach to addressing them. Built on our Corporate Business Principles, our activities focus on the areas where we can have the greatest impact.
What we are doing
We understand our responsibility toward instilling and maintaining human rights across our business activities. In 2010, we incorporated the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) in our policies, such as the Nestlé Corporate Business Principles and Nestlé Supplier Code. These principles are adhered to by all employees and extend to suppliers/contractors and associates. In 2018, there were no pending stakeholder complaints with regard to human rights.
